Asia’s Jewellery, Handbag and Accessories Conference and Trade Show (AJHA) concluded on 26 August in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with an attendance of over 100 participants from 3 countries. The conference and trade show featured 6 exhibitors showcasing the latest trends and innovations in the industry, as well as keynote speeches, panel discussions, roundtable discussions and networking sessions.
In recent years, the concept of ESG has become exceedingly important to the society while environmental awareness and circular economy has also been on the rise worldwide. With this in mind, AJHA strongly highlighted the theme of sustainable fashion.
Exhibitors and Supporting Partners included Malaysia Official Designers’ Association (MODA), China Fashion Association, Nayli B, Jwelin by Dr Beads, Digitex, Wirdora and Nusantara Fashion House with jewellery pieces by Jonathan Yun being displayed.

Datuk Seri Isham Ishak, Secretary General Ministry of Investment, Trade & Industry Malaysia (MITI) who officiated the event shared,” This event signifies the commencement of an exciting journey in the realm of Asian fashion. It is worth noting that the fashion industry in Asia is experiencing a remarkable surge. Projections indicate that the Asia-Pacific fashion accessories market will maintain a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.21% in the upcoming five years. This substantial expansion is primarily driven by increasing disposable incomes and a robust desire for fashion and luxury products in the region.
Picnic in the Park

The first Picnic in the Park attracted more than 600 participants including artists who were invited to paint around the park. There was also a Bazaar, Environmental NGO showcase, PDRM showcase and buskers entertaining the crowd throughout the day.
